My Advice: Avoid Lambda-Tek
I was a fool to base a purchasing decision primarily on price, I know that, and nearly every time I do it I say to myself afterwards, never again. But I’m only human, and apparently never learn!
So anyway; cast your mind back to my earlier post when Mum asked me what I wanted. I did some searching around to find the place to get it at a reasonable price, and settled on Lambda-Tek. They were charging roughly £10 less than everyone else I could find for the same product. Even after adding shipping it worked out a few pounds cheaper. The order was placed at 22:18 on Monday May 11th. An email arrived confirming they had received the order. Great, or so I thought. I paid for next day delivery so in theory it should have arrived Wednesday 13th.
By the close of business on the 12th, the item was still “awaiting processing”. Not too concerned, I fired them off an email as by now it was over 24 hours and my order hadn’t budged an inch. I just said it’s for a birthday present, so I’d be grateful to know if it was going to be shipped in time to arrive for it, otherwise I will cancel and order elsewhere.
The 13th arrives, and goes, without a word in reply to my email or any movement in the order tracking of their website. Furious at this point I cancel the order with them at 1am on the 14th – birthday day.
This morning I ordered with Amazon instead. Same product, same price virtually, and it’s already been shipped. 4 hours after I ordered it. With a tracking number.
In my opinion Lambda-Tek are completely undeserving of their apparently high ratings at various review websites. I am absolutely furious with them and would advise anyone thinking of using them to seriously reconsider whether it is worth the risk of you repeating my experience.

Sorry you had a bad experience with that company. I had never heard of Lambda-Tek.
