Why This Blog?
I’ve always dreamed of owning my own home. One failed marriage and 3 years of wasted money renting, I’m no nearer to that goal. What I am, is more determined than ever. I want my own place to call ‘home’, a home that I can model to my own tastes and not have to worry about landlords or parents. A property I can rip the kitchen out of if I desire and put something better in.
The Avia Journey is my journal to becoming a home owner. Right now I’m in (managable) debt thanks to my estranged wife, but by 2010 I plan to be debt free and I intend to start heavily saving for a deposit. Between now and then I will be getting divorced, designing my rooms as best I can with no dimensions (!), and generally documenting my life and the struggle to get to my idea of paradise.
Who Am I?
I’m a 25 26 
year old professional civil servant based in southern England. I am currently living back with my parents while I deal with money issues, and then I’m planning to set off into the big wide world again, looking to secure my Avia.
Hobbies?
Lots! I like to think I’m a half-reasonable photographer; I particularly enjoy shooting abstract and ambient pictures such as scenery, sunsets, sunrises and so on; you can find some random shots on every page of this blog down the right hand side bar, or alternatively check out my other blog called ‘Sussex in Focus‘. I’m also a functional technology geek. I love technology that is secure, safe, and above all improves quality of life or makes things easier for us mere mortals. Examples of this will become more evident as time goes on.
